What is fact and what is commentary

Case descriptions identify records, official investigations, court findings, declassified material, and documented historical events. Case-selection choices, questions, lessons, headlines, and the site's rhetorical framing are commentary or opinion. The site does not present satire as factual reporting.

Evidence labels

An allegation remains an allegation. A theory remains a theory. “Documented,” “declassified,” “confirmed,” and “court findings” should be used only for the specific proposition supported by the accompanying source—not as proof of a broader theory, motive, or accusation.

Sourcing and context

Primary records, court filings, official reports, archived documents, peer-reviewed research, and direct statements are preferred. Evidence that limits or contradicts a claim belongs beside supportive evidence. Quotations should remain short, attributed, and linked closely enough for readers to review context.

Dates and link maintenance

Historical claims should identify material dates. Current or continuing matters require an explicit review date. Sources that redirect, move, or become access-restricted should be replaced with stable authoritative records when available without changing the claim beyond what those records support.
